 아이에게 소개하기 좋은 책 중에 뉴베리 상을 받은 책을 권하는데 그럼 뉴베리 메달이란 무엇일까요 ? 

 요약하여 말하면 해마다 문학성이 뛰어난 아동문학 작품을 미국 도서관 협회에서 선정하는 상을 말하며, 선정된 책은 아동문학 작품 중 필수적으로 읽고 또한 교사가 추천하는 책을 의미합니다. 아울러 그림책 중 좋은 작품에는 칼데콧 메달을 수여합니다.

 뉴베리 상을 받은 책은 영문책과 번역책 그리고 영화를 함께 읽으면서 본다면 영어공부를 즐기면서 하는 것에 도움이 될 것입니다.

 그림책은 내용과 삽화가 아이의 감정에 매우 큰 영향을 주기에 좋은 그림이 있는 책을 선택하는 것이 중요합니다.
