bookadventure.com 리뷰 - 영어책 읽은것 확인해볼까요 ?

 아이가 영어책을 읽고 나서 이해도가 어떤지 궁금할 때가 있으며 그래서 알게 된 사이트가 bookadventure.com 입니다.

 책의 제목을 넣고 검색하면 해당 책에 대한 객관식 문제가 나오고 정답을 체크한 후에 제출하면 됩니다.

 아들이 제일 좋아하는 Magic School Bus Going Batty: A Book about Bats, The by Cole, Joanna를 입력하니 총 10개의 문제가 아래처럼 나옵니다.

1: Where did the class go on their field trip this time?

cave
mine
castle
2: Where did the class find the first bat?
in the attic
in a cave
in a tree trunk
in a mine

 문제에 답을 입력하고 Submit 버튼을 누르면 답이 틀린 경우 알려주나 답을 알려주지는 않으며 몇번의 시도가 가능하고 테스트했던 기록들이 Report와 점수의 형태로 개인정보에 보관됩니다.

 영어사전으로 사용하는 웹사이트  dictionary.com 을 소개합니다. URL에서 알 수 있듯이 사전을 제공하는 사이트로 단어의 뜻과 오디오(발음)도 함께 제공하나 오디오는 가입유저(유료)에게만 제공합니다.

 검색의 결과는 Dictionary | Thesaurus | Encyclopedia | All Reference | the Web , 5개의 항목으로 분류하여 찾을 수 있는 기능으로 나누어져 있습니다.

 그 중 Encyclopedia 에서 검색한 결과가 인상적이었는데 lubber 라는 단어를 검색하면 articles 4개 - Eastern Lubber Grasshopper / Lubber fiend / Lubber knot / Lubber line - 를 알려주었으며 그 중 Lubber fiend 를 선택해보니 문학작품에서 쓰인 단어의 설명까지 있었고 Wikipedia(백과사전)의 결과로도 링크가 되어있습니다.

 마지막으로 메인에서 Word of the Day 신청하여 메일로 받는 것과 게임도 무료로 일부의 기능은 사용할 수 있었습니다.

 메일로 받은 오늘의 단어입니다.

 스도쿠(sudokus)라는 게임을 소개합니다.

 아래의 그림에서 보듯이 9칸으로 이루어진 9개의 박스가 있으며, 1 부터 9 까지 숫자가 중복되지 않게 박스에 넣어야 합니다. 예를 들면 파란색은 가로 줄에 입력한 숫자이고 노란색은 세로 줄이고 빨간색은 1개의 박스에 입력한 모든 숫자입니다.
 9 개의 박스에 숫자를 모두 채우면 게임은 끝나게 됩니다. 간단하면서도 생각을 많이하게 하는 게임으로 아이들의 셈 더하기에 도움이 될 것입니다.

In the box, you have to put the numbers from 1 to 9, like the red box.In the horizontal or vertical lines you have to put the numbers form 1 to 9, just like the box. The or blue are examples. The harder, the better.
